A major European toll operator was sitting on massive amounts of data spread across 90+ fragmented sources — primarily locked in Oracle environments with restricted access. Business teams relied on instinct rather than data for strategic decisions because the existing architecture made timely analytics nearly impossible. Processing constraints and system load sensitivity meant that every query risked impacting production databases.
We architected DataPulse, a high-performance analytics engine designed to ingest and process massive data volumes without crippling the source systems. The solution runs optimized Oracle procedures every 10 minutes on remote databases for incremental data extraction, paired with advanced analytical SQL functions for fine-grained segmentation and pattern detection directly at database level.
On top of this engine, we built interactive business dashboards co-designed with end users — transforming complex raw data into actionable KPIs. An AI-driven recommendation engine was integrated for promotional optimization and cross-product association analysis.
DataPulse drove a fundamental shift from instinct-based to data-driven decision-making across management teams. The project delivered €800K to €1M in annual savings on Oracle licensing costs alone — a figure published in industry press. Teams now access accurate insights in near real-time with stable performance under heavy loads and 10-minute refresh cycles, enabling better forecasting, campaign optimization, and operational alignment.
